Nirmul Committee has decided to take legal action against the present
(BNP+Jamat-e-Islam) government for disregarding the formal declaration
of Independence of Bangladesh which endorsed Bangabandhu Shaikh Mujibur
Rahman's declaration of independence of 26
March 1971 in Dhaka, that became part of the Bangladesh Constitution
(4th Schedule: article 150). NC also formed a committee of five
constitution experts to conduct the case. headed by Justice KM Sobhan,
other members of this committee are Barrister Shawkat Ali Khan,
Barrister Amir-ul-Islam, Barrister Shafique Ahmed and Advocate Mahabube
